Celtic - Telecommunication
Solutions Celtic is a EUREKA cluster and the only European R&D programme in ICT fully dedicated to end-to-end telecommunication solutions. Celtic will initiate and run privately and public funded ICT/ telecommunications R&D projects. It is supported by most of the major European players in communication technologies. Celtic projects are focusing at telecoms networks, applications, and services looking at a complete system approach. The size of the Celtic budget is in the range of 1 billion euro. Celtic is open to any kind of project participants from all EUREKA countries. |

Successful 100GET Status Meeting On 24 and 25 June the biggest Celtic project, 100GET, which is largely funded, among other countries, by the German BMBF, organised its status meeting and Celtic mid-term review took place in Dresden. The meeting was attended by around 100 people. Celtic Awards given to three successful

Public Safety Communication Europe With the support of the European Commission, “Forum for Public Safety Communication Europe” has been established in order to facilitate consensus building in the area of public safety communication and information management systems. This Forum invites users and policy makers, industrials (technology and service providers), research organizations and standard making authorities to reach consensus on security related subjects.

Celtic Call 7 PO phase closedOn 17th June 19 PO have been accepted and invited to submit a full project proposal (FPP) by 30th October 2009. The list of accepted PO and contact details to the project coordinator are found here. Very successful Celtic Event in Paris The 4th annual Celtic Event 2009 took place from 11 to 12 March 2009 in Paris. The Event was very successful and was attended by over 200 people. More... Celtic Information Day on Call 7 on 10 March 2009 On 10 March 2009 the Celtic Information Day for Call 7 took place in Paris. The Information Day was intended for interested people to present or discuss new project proposals with other experts. More... 13 Celtic Proposals received Celtic LabelThe Public Authorities and the Celtic Core Group have endorsed 13 project proposals and assigned a Celtic/ EUREKA Label to them. The budget volume of the endorsed projects is around 100 million euro. The labelled projects, abstracts and contact points are indicated in the Celtic project tables. The successful projects will now start actions to kick-off the project in early 2009.
The Celtic Initiative has produced the Celtic Purple Book that describes the Celtic objectives and strategy towards the Celtic goal of a European leadership in telecommunications. |
