Celtic-Plus Information Day at KIAT in Korea
High Korean interest to participate in European collaborative Celtic-Plus research projects

KIAT, the Korea Institute for Advancement of Technology, organized a "Celtic-Plus InfoDay Korea" in Seoul on 11 August 2011, with the support of the Celtic Office.

The agenda included a global presentation of Celtic-Plus, as well as more specific information about how Korean organisations could be involved in EUREKA and more specifically in Celtic-Plus projects.

The day attracted over 60 participants from industry, SMEs, and academic institutions. Local high-level representatives from two Celtic Core Group members, Alcatel-Lucent and Ericsson, were among the participants, as well as well known organisations such as ETRI and SK Telecom.

According to KIAT, this high attendance "showed a strong response to the event and plenty of potential on which to build for the future".

Speakers included: Dr. Johng-Ihl Lee, the Korean EUREKA NPC; Dr. Jungwon Hwang, Korean EUREKA Deputy NPC; Gareth Davies, EUREKA Project Officer; Dongwan Park, EUREKA Project Offi cer; and Jacques Magen, Celtic Liaison Officer.
