Abstract |
Technologies are everywhere, at home, at work, in the city,
in the car, but the retail sector is far behind of this enormous
technological wave. The store is about the same as it was 20 years ago.
Retail sector, big shopping centres, malls or stores need to get into
the new technological age to be more efficient, more attractive. There
is a new generation of online customers, used to buy online, to share
information about products and services, to rate their shopping, but
still today, 96 percent of all retail sales is still done in the store.
It is necessary to transfer Internet experience over the shopping store
experience. Our consume society spends much of its time in big malls and
commercial centres. Users expect to have a better experience, to get
precise and personalized information and to optimize their time. And
also the retailer's business is changing. Retail business have to be
more efficient, must take the information that they're getting in their
stores and use it to improve processes, supply chain, inventory,
advertisement, product placement etc. The project goal is to eliminate
this existing technological gap and develop advance smart store
services, which must accomplish the following considerations:
