Celtic News, 17 July 2007 30 new Call 5 Proposal Outlines accepted From originally 35 proposal outlines, received during the first phase of Call-5 30 proposals were accepted and invited to submit a full project proposal. This high submission rate of proposals is very satisfactory and it is likely that Call 5 may have again a high number of labelled projects. The total budget of all invited proposals accrues to about 250 million euro. See abstracts of invited proposals: http://www.celtic-initiative.org/Projects/project-info.asp#Call%205%20Invited%20Proposals%202008 The submission of proposals for the second phase of call 5 will only be possible for proposals that had submitted a proposal outline and have been invited to submit a full project proposal (FPP). The second phase of call 5 will end on 16 October 2007. It has been discussed between the Celtic Core group and the Public Authorities that it may be possible to accept additional proposals without a prior proposal outline on a very exceptional and very limited basis. Project consortia that may be interested to submit such exceptional proposal are asked to contact a responsible person of the Celtic Core Group or the Celtic Office. The request to submit an exceptional FPP must be received before 7 September 2007. If the request is considered reasonable the exceptional FPP submission may be accepted but may also be rejected without further justification. Without a prior authorisation any not invited FPP submission will automatically be rejected!
