Celtic-Plus Event 2011
Realizing the Smart Connected World

   

 

The  EUREKA cluster Celtic-Plus organized its 6th official Celtic Event and Celtic-Plus Proposer's Day on 29th and 30th March 2011 at the Marriott Hotel in Heidelberg/ Germany.  The Event was attended by nearly 200 experts and decision makers are expected to attend the sessions.

Objectives:
The focus was on the new challenges for the telecommunications world and the competitiveness of Europe's telecommunications industry towards a Smart Connected World

Celtic-Plus Proposer’s Day (29 March): 
Discuss new research projects and build new project teams on:

  • New service challenges:

  • Get connected (telecommunications infrastructure challenges)

  • Digital City

  • Digital Home

  • E-Health

  • multi-disciplinary topics

Celtic Award Ceremony

At the Celtic Event the three most successful projects of last year received the Celtic Excellence Award:

  • 100GET Gold Award
  • WINNER+ Gold Award
  • RUBENS Bronze Award

Celtic-Plus Event (30 March):

  • High-level views on future challenges from industry perspective

  • Future Internet, how the program impact should be extended

  • Green-ICT, CleanTech, Smart Grids

  • Inter-disciplinary challenges for a better, cleaner, energy-efficient world

Exhibition: In parallel to the Event a Celtic project exhibition was organised by Celtic project teams demonstrating their achievements, demos or prototypes and discuss their results with interested experts.
